Hard to speculate: You did not describe the lump, with such as mobile/not, rock like, rubbery, soft, etc. This is a position people occasionally have bony outgrowth of the skull, but other skin structures can also give rise to cysts, fat collections, etc. To decide what it may be it will need an exam.

Lump: One possibility is that you have a sebacous cyst. There are more serious possibilities so please see your doctor. If a cyst, it can be dealt w/rather easily. Peace and good health.
