Possible: 70 years old suppose to have higher heart rate. May be losartan effecting your heart rate. Dose may need to be adjusted. Call your prescriber.

Heart rate: Unlike beta blockers or certain calcium channel blockers like verapamil, losartan shouldn't affect your heart rate or rhythm. I have seen many people with resting heart rates around 50 who don't reach their peak exercise heart rate goal. Running up hill is the ultimate way to increase your exercise rate, but pass a stress test before you try it.
