Eye doctor: A stye is an infection of one of the tiny oil producing glands inside the eyelid & is generally caused by staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Many styes can be treated without medical intervention by applying hot compresses for 10-15 minutes four times daily. For an internal stye that is worsening or has not healed in 2-3 days I suggest you see an eye doctor who may prescribe antibotics.
