Stye: Apply warm compresses to affected eye to bring stye to a head (it's similar to a pimple, only on the eyelid margin) so it will open & drain. Do not squeeze it. Use fresh compress each time. If child rubs eye, wash hands frequently. If not improved, see fp for exam & possible rx for eye antibiotic. Occasionally resistant ones have to be opened by doc to remove contents.
