IBS: is a catch all diagnosis when organic reasons can't be found for GI distress. Please continue to see your doctor. The gut is sometimes called "the second brain" because it is tied into the brain and responds to emotion. A clinical psychologist may be helpful, especially one who does clinical hypnosis (www.asch.net), biofeedback, or cognitive behavioral therapy. Peace and good health.
