Does a tender itchy flat mole always mean cancer? and what is the difference between flat and raised mole?

Raised mole for years with no change - suddenly over last 3 days turning white n a little itchy. Is there any way it's not cancer? So scared.

Get new mole checked: No, the fact that a mole is itchy and raised does not mean that you have skin cancer. However any unusual or new mole must be check by a dermatologist to be sure that it is not a melanoma (serious skin cancer).

Itchy : Not every itchy mole is cancerous. Not every raised mole is cancerous. With that said it is a good idea to have a mole that is changing(raised) and symptomatic (itchy) evaluated by a dermatologist to make sure it is not cancerous.
