A member asked:

My 11 year old keeps having nose bleeds, i had her at an ent a few years ago for the same issue and was advised there is nothing to worry about, should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not particularly: These are generally bleeds from the sensitive & shallow membranes inside the nasal passages. House dust, fumes, smoke, allergens, etc. all play a role in making these kids nose irritated. Many times they rub their face in a pillow at night & wake up the next AM with blood. They also habit pick on occasion. These kids often benefit from saline nasal wash or a steroid nasal spray.
