A member asked:

I have a 17 year old boy, for the last few weeks every time we take his blood pressure it is high 158/83. he is complaining about headaches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs evaluation: It is hard to know if the blood pressure is the trigger for his headaches but it is evidence of a treatable level of high blood pressure. It's not a go to the ER level but it is a go to the doc within a week level. In the short term, no salt or salty foods, caffeine or nicotine and compile a list of symptoms or concerns you can take to the visit. We tend to forget some under stress.
