Heat damage! Stop!: Do get checked, but this may be due to prolonged heat exposure by laptops, heating pads or anything else, can permanently damage the skin. So cut it out! Limit exposure to 30 minutes in a row, break for 1 hour, and repeat. Chronic skin changes from heat damage is called Erythema ab igne (EAI). So stop before the damage is permanent.
