LPR: Laryngeo-Pharyngeal Reflux, which is regurgitation of acid into the upper airway , reaching to the Eustachian tubes and middle ears. Antacids/PPI (e.g. pantoprazole) can be obtained OTC, read the labels carefully, and use reflux precautions: no late dinner, avoid fatty meals / caffeinated beverages in the evening, raise the head of the bed or use several pillows, etc. If no improvement see your MD
