Likely infected: One of the benefits of grommets is pressure doesn't build up behind the eardrum and cause pain. Infection, when it occurs will leak out of the opening provided by the grommets. If they have been shed, the pressure pushes pus out the weak area in the drum wher it was placed. It is time to call or see her doc.
