Ovarian "cysts": The ovary produces a "cyst" (follicle) every cycle, but some do not rupture to release a mature egg, leaving the cyst intact. Hemorrhagic cysts can be from endometriosis and are not related to ovulation. When either cyst reaches a certain point, it will rupture and cause transient pain, but these kinds of cysts are not related to possible conception.
