A member asked:

Rash on toddler (2 1/2 year old) cheeks and small spots on torso - could this be measles? been giving him allergex and rubbing creams on him

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: In most of the industrialized world toddlers have had at least the initial MMR vaccine which prevents measles. In areas where this is not done or there are many who don't it remains a possibility even if a kid was vaccinated. Such rashes are common to many viruses & some allergic reactions. Creams applied to the skin generally have no benefit beyond giving you something to do.
