School issues: In some places the school/teacher can give you as referral to a school psychologist or clinical psychologist so that the student can be properly tested to understand better his/her ability and present education level. Output changes: This is often a sign that even minor differences in learning style have caught up with him. Many students excel in certain areas of learning which covers up lags in other areas. An evaluation by an educational psychologist or testing specialist at the school could identify how he learns so he can apply that to the classroom.
