Ive been on slow releasing iron for about a year. i started last night with black, watery diarrhea & stomach ache. could it be from the iron?

Black diarrhea: Iron usually causes constipation but diarrhea has occurred Stool can be black from iron but if you were on it a year it should have been noticed before. If new would follow up with MD , check CBC and other etiologies of diarrhea infectious, H pylori, even C difficile, ulcer Greater than 7 BM a day could lead to dehydration . F/u/ w/ MD
