Rinse: If you truly have an infection of the gum, bacteria becomes trapped and begins to grow and can expand into other areas nearby. You need to assist in the reduction of the infection, by immediately begin a strict regimen of warm salt water rinses in the area of the infection for 5-10 minutes, 4-5 times a day. Do this and the infection should improve, but will not cure it. You will need a dentist.
