i have treatment resistant insomnia and recently had a sleep study indicating no sleep apnea. i hear the prescription medicine seconal is effective?

Bad Idea: Seconal is a barbiturate and habit forming, as are many other Benzo like sleep medicines. Try good sleep hygiene habits. Same bedtime, bed only for sex or sleep, no naps, wake same time, limit caffeine after noon, etc. Natural sleep hormone Melatonin can be helpful. If Rx meds are necessary I have found trazodone effective and safe.
