Lungs don't like it: Your small airways have safety mechanisms designed to keep noxious gasses from getting deep in the lungs. This is what triggers wheezing & is uncontrolled in asthma. Your smoking and or any vaping would likely trigger these. If you want it to stop, quit assaulting your lungs with noxious gasses. You could face long term damage, obstructive lung disease, or cancer if you don't.

Vaping: If you stop smoking, cilia in the respiratory track and become motile again. As they flagelate - they can remove materials from deep in the lungs which can lead to wheezing and other respiratory symptoms. Don't recommend vaping. As of 11 SEP 2019 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 6 deaths & > 450 possible cases of severe lung injury in 33 states related to vaping.
