What does it mean if i have pain in my ear but when my doctor checks it she said theres no infection?

Hard to say: The perceived pain from that site could originate from the ear drum, if it is stretched inward or outward with pressure change or an infection. Unfortunately the eardrum/ear system shares a nerve branch with your teeth on that side & tooth issues can sometimes cause ear pain. Without an exam I can not sort this out. Ibuprofen may help.
