Discontinue: Some of these symptoms are listed as possible side effects of nitrofurantoin. I recommend that you discontinue your macrobid. Other antibacterial agents are available for you to take. If your urinary tract infection is in the bladder(macrobid shouldn't be used for kidney infection) get a urine culture,sensitivity, and colony count before taking any other antibiotic. Your infection may have cleared
