Tooth Abscess: Your issue needs to be treated by a dentist, Antibiotics alone will not resolve your problem. Please call a local dentist for an appointment. The problem will be properly diagnosed any you will be given treatment options. All the best...

Treat the cause: An tooth abscess is a dental infection. There are a number of different causes, bur they all develop an infection that eventually blossoms into an abscess is not treated. Using an antibiotic, is a good initial treatment to contain the infection until the cause can be treated by the dentist to cure the cause.

First step: Abscess is a severe spreading infection of the plural tissues in the center of a tooth, usually caused by decay. Antibiotics will reduce spread of the infection until the cause can be treated by root canal/crown or extraction/implant/crown. If cause not treated, the moment you stop antibiotics the infection will come roaring back. Anti-inflamatories may reduce swelling, but will not cure infection
