It depends .: hemoglobin A1c is a composite estimate of blood glucose control with last 3 months. Losing weight by eating regulated consistent carbohydrate diet will improve glycemic control and will help with improvement of hemoglobin A1c. eating less for a few few days before the test would likely not influence the test results.
