Not by itself: If you mean polycystic kidney disease, it is a serious and progressive disorder and you should be followed by a nephrologist who will want to know whether you are autosomal recessive or dominant and what several different imaging studies and blood tests show now and over time with urine protein being one of them. Having said that, 1+ protein in urine by itself is not particularly alarming.
