A member asked:

What accuracy of down syndrome does a 3.79 intermediate test offer and what is the severity of this result at 31 years of age.

Down's Syndrome ?: The result quoted does not indicate a positive for Down's, and age 31 is a low risk also. Either placental biopsy or an amniocentesis is very accurate, if there is a family hx of Down's or you want to be certain.

Which method?: Did you do serum markers? NIPT?Amniocentesis? or CVS? A detailed report is needed.
