PCOS: The diagnosis of PCOS is usually made by having 2 of the 3 crtieria: 1. irregular or infrequent periods, 2. evidence of high testosterone either through blood tests or based on acne or facial hair growth, 3. polycstic ovaries seen on ultrasound. You may not have irregular periods, but if you have the other two things you meet the diagnostic criteria.
