When : When a patient is actively trying to get pregnant, heavy bleeding with clots can represent several issues. Complicating the situation here is the pcos. Pcos as you know causes fluctuation of hormones and can cause irregular ovulation and bleeding. Bleeding and clotting can represent dysfunctional uterine bleeding or sometimes can represent a miscarriage. Taking a pregnancy test can be helpful. If a patient has heavy bleeding or feels light-headed, then seeing their doctor is certainly a reasonable next step.
