A member asked:

Im allergic to tetracycline, my nails detached from their beds, and my doctor just prescribed me doxycycline for twice a day. will i react badly?

If you take it !: You should call the docs office and make sure your medical record reflects an allergy to tetracycline. If it does not, it should be added. if it does it is an oversight by the physician or staff. Do not take it until you have reviewed the issue completely with your doc. Might there be a reason s/he used it anyway ??? Lots of confusion here.
