Possibly: But any antibiotic you take only masks the underlying dental problem. You are better off seeing a local dentist who can diagnose your problem and treat it.

See a dentist ASAP: The tetracycline, doxycycline or any other treatment is a temporary relief. A gum infection won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. See your dentist ASAP.
