No: Csr is typically treated with a watch and wait approach . Occasionally laser can be used to hasten the recovery. New injectable drugs are also being explored.

No: Central serous retinopathy (csr) is caused by a leak in the pigment layer below the retina. This leak usually seals itself and the vision improves. Stressful lifestyle and steroid use (prednisone pills, inhaled steroids for asthma, steroid creams, cortisone shots) have been linked to csr. If the vision doesn't improve after 3 months, one can have laser done.

NO: The only way to definitively treat central serous choroidopathy is by focal argon laser treatment. This will accelerate resolution and reduce recurrence. The other option is to simply wait and eventually most cases resolve on their own. It may take many months.

No: Observation vs laser are the only treatments thus far, but others are being investigated. You should avoid steroids of all forms (pills, inhalers, creams, etc.) as this can exacerbate the disease.
