More info needed: At your age I would be thinking of hip bursitis rather than arthritis unless recent injury has occurred. Bursitis would be very likely if the hip is tender or painful when lying on it. An orthopedic surgeon could evaluate and advise you if symptoms persist. An xray may be ordered.
