Tubal Ligation & Age: It depends on your insurance - Medicaid will not pay for a tubal ligation for anyone under age 21. If you have other insurance, there should be no age requirement. Some doctors don't like to do it to young women because of their concern for regret, however remember that this is YOUR decision, not your doctor's. If you can't find someone to tie your tubes, seek out a "family planning specialist".
