See surgeon immediat: The stent may not be working. I would see the operating surgeon immediately, if possible.

Exam needed: He needs investigation into those symptoms. The vascular surgeon can evaluate the back pain as aortic pathology can be a cause although a musculoskeletal cause is more likely. His physician or a gastroenterologist would evaluate the abdominal discomfort and constipation. Because of the intensity of the discomfort, he should be examined as soon as possible, perhaps in the emergency department.

Where is: He heading to? Generally acute constipation with stomach and back pain require provider evaluation. Abdominal obstruction must be excluded
