Been on nexium for three weeks for mild gerd at night. if i don't take it exactly every 24 hours, i get heart burn from fizzy drinks or tomato sauce that i definitely didn't have before. it's like it made symptoms worse and during the day. why?

Avoid acidic foods: and drinks. Tomatoes can aggravate gastritis/GERD. Carbonated beverages will form carbonic acid after being ingested. If non-responsive to Nexium, get tested for H. pylori bacteria.
