Told by aprn had ear infection-antibiotics & cough syrup. never fever, nonproductive. 2 months later cough remains, bad to the point of vomiting.

Unlikely ear now.: There may have been an ear infection then, but by now it may have resolved with antibiotics; what remains now might not be related to an ear infection, but may be related to smoking or immunization statuses, or possibly stomach reflux. Please consider evaluation by your provider to evaluate for pertussis, GERD, other lung sources, or other issues. Hope this helps. Good health to you!
