Possible hemangioma: Congenital capillary hemangiomas are common, especially on the forehead and nape of the neck in newborns but can occur on extremities as well. These are abnormal blood vessels in the skin & appear as slightly irregular pink patches and tend to fade with time. When blood vessels dilate, as with crying, (or warm shower) these become more obvious. Only an exam can confirm my suspicion.
