Foot swelling: Treatment depends on the cause of the swelling - if heart failure, higher doses of diuretic (water pill, like spiractin/spironolactone) may help. Need to verify thyroid function (that the eltroxin / thyroxine dosage is working). Compression stockings can be very helpful for veinous insufficiency. If any redness or fever, or if chest pain or short of breath, see the doctor right away.
