I've had shoulder (top back) pain for 3 weeks. have seen 4 gp and physio. last week saw a sports medicine specialist who indicated he suspected i have carpal tunnel syndrome. will a nerve conduction test show where the problem is. pain also in arm?

Carpal tunnel: I would doubt that the discomfort in the back of your shoulder is caused by carpal tunnel syndrome unless hand and finger symptoms are placing strain on your shoulder even if an EMG reveals carpal tunnel problems. You may have a shoulder tendonitis. A shoulder and neck xray is worthwhile to look for bone pathology or arthritis if neckpain Another opinion from an orthopedic specialist is worthwhile
