Yes: It is safe to have dental procedures when you are pregnant. In fact, if you have a toothache - then you might have a dental infection. In this case it is very important to have that tooth removed, as dental infections could cause a miscarriage or other pregnancy complications.

Safe: Yes, extraction is safe. Leaving infected tooth in place is not safe for you or your baby. Another option, which may be better than losing tooth, is root canal treatment. If you choose extraction check with your Dentist to see if replacement is required to prevent posterior bite collapse.
