Is it normal for my baby to throw up after coughing?

No: The most common cause of vomiting after coughing is gastroesophageal reflux. A persistent severe cough with vomiting after the cough could be a sign of whooping cough, a very dangerous illness especially in infants.

No: If it happens infrequently it is unlikely to be a concern. However, if it is persistent or becoming more frequent, it can be a sign of reflux, breathing or heart problems.
