Maybe: Very hard to say without seeing or knowing what the bug is. Most times, a "bug bite" that is not witnessed is a spontaneous cellulitis, which is a superficial infection of the skin and soft tissue. If this was an actual bug bite, it may be reaction to the venom, which would depend on what bug it is (classic is the brown recluse spider bite). See a doctor.
