MR safe materials: Magnetizable materials and electronic devices represent potential hazards patients undergoing an MRI. Most metallic biomaterials are now nonferrous and nonmagnetizable. The mesh and clips used in a hernia repair are MR safe and do not poses any known hazards in any MR environment.
