Hernia repair: Pain at the site of a previous hernia repair is uncommon but can be related to a recurrent hernia or scarring around the repair. Would recommend rest, anti-inflammatories, and heat to the area. If symptoms persist or worsen see your doctor.

Scar tissue: After an umbilical hernia repair you can develop scar tissue which can cause some discomfort when moving. You should try stretching the area. Is you continue to have pain or bulging you should see your surgeon
