A member asked:

Been working out at gym- resistance training & weights, 4x a week 2hrs each time. moderate intensity. by how much does this raise my bmr post workout?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to speculate: In a research center we would look at efficiency of oxygen utilization & other factors to gauge this before & after your efforts. Given that we have no information on your pre-training activities, physical parameters before & after, there is no way to provide specifics. It is likely more during your workouts, but similar after rest. At some point you achieve a stable BMR when you are in shape
