See doctor: This is not normal and needs be evaluated. If he has a strong family history of heart disease or has high cholesterol (LDL), BP, and/or blood sugar level, one needs to consult cardiac disease as well . Migraine can cause similar symptoms but unusual to be happening at night while one's asleep. A lot of "ifs" which need be studied.
