A member asked:

Can a physician help to sort out colon issues or is there another dr to attend to such things?

A Gastroenterologist: is the specialist who deals with the colon and colon related problems, but a primary care physician is often a good place to start. Usually they can handle the problem on their own, and they can always refer you along if it is something beyond their training level and expertise. Hope this helps!
