Its a good sign: If your child's fever was from a virus then his immune system fought it off, if from a bacterial infection then the Amoxil may have helped. What's important is that the fever is gone. The temperature lower than 98.6F (37C) is a reflection of the thermometer and method used to take temperature. You can verify true core temperature using a rectal thermometer. Other methods will give lower results.
