2 month old struggled to pass a stool & when it came out it was like putty & was still straining.gave her a half suppository to help but se hasn't had a stool again and it's still in there(2 days now)will it dissolve? she does go every 3 days on avg.

Breast or formula ?: Breast fed infants can go a little every feed or overflow a diaper once a week. If it is soft when they go I don't worry about it. Formula fed babies usually have daily stools. They use their breathing muscle to push poop out, they all look like they struggle unless it is very loose. If stools are getting hard, I often try full strength prune juice, 1oz once or more/d.
