Eat more fiber: Adequate fiber (25-36g/d), plenty of fluid & regular physical activity are important for regular bowel function. Osmotic laxatives are also available over-the-counter - just ask your pharmacist. If you haven't had a colonoscopy in over 10 years, it's time. Definitely go see your family doc if you've noted any unintentional weight loss or change in appearance of your stool.
