A member asked:

How common is anaphylactic reaction to ct contrast?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Extremely Rare: Anaphylactic reactions to IV contrast for CT's are estimated to occur in about 0.1% of all administrations of IV contrast, or about 1 in 10,000 cases, according to the National Institutes of Health. Deaths from anaphylactic reaction were even more rare, 1 in 100,000 to 1,000,000 administrations. Hope this helps! Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4059752/
