They don't look: Blood tests are technically specific to what they are looking for. It takes different material and technician time to look for any of the thousands of things they can find, but the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line= they test for what they are looking for. They could find it if exposure was recent and they had a reason to look, but it does cost time & money.
